Seasonality & Booking

Many refuges prefer cash (euros or Swiss francs). Hotels and B&Bs typically accept cards. Meals are often included at refuges (half-board), while hotels may be room-only.

What to Expect

Refuges typically offer dormitory beds (bring earplugs!) with shared bathrooms. Private rooms are available at some refuges and all hotels/B&Bs. Laundry facilities are limited.
